This organization, established in 1973, helps low-income level families obtain affordable housing. Students in this class took a tour hosted by Sarah from Habitat for Humanity where they were able to explore the opportunities that this organization offered to the community: demolition of older homes (dilapidated and unlivable), refurbishing older homes such as roof repair or restoration, construction of new homes (building communities) and Re-store (a store where building materials and fixtures are available at a discounted cost to the consumer).
